Rippey:

Beginning on an unnamed street at the southeast corporation line; thence northwest on said unnamed street to the north corporation line.

Beginning again at the north corporation line of Rippey connecting with an unnamed street; thence northwesterly through Section 3‑T82N‑R29W and Sections 34, 33, and 28‑T83N‑R29W to a point near the NW Corner Section 28‑T83N‑R29W; thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 21, 16, 9, and 4‑T83N-R29W to the south corporation line of Grand Junction connecting with 8th Street.

Grand Junction:

Beginning on 8th Street at the south corporation line; thence north on 8th Street to Main Street; thence west on Main Street to 9th Street; thence north on 9th Street to the north corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of Primary Road System, Iowa 144 in Greene County, Iowa should be deleted and the new description should be officially included into the Primary System.

Iowa 144 begins on the Greene‑Boone County line approximately 2 ½ miles southeast of Rippey, and travels northwesterly and northerly via the Cities of Rippey, Grand Junction, and Dana, to the Greene‑Webster County line approximately 3 miles northeast of Paton, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 144 and its extensions in Greene County as follows:

Beginning at the Greene‑Boone County line at a point approximately 0.4 mile north of the SE Corner Section 24‑T82N‑R29W, Greene County (Section 19‑T82N‑R28W, Boone County); thence northwesterly through Sections 24, 13, 14, and 11‑T82N‑R29W to the east corporation line of the City of Rippey connecting with an unnamed street.
